Little achievement made her so proud!! They made YouTube Videos and I have uploaded into my YouTube Channel!

As an avid hobbyist for LEGO, he owned many Legos set as well as many LEGO raw building blocks!. He always surprised us by just building some LEGO sets from scratch (just think through his brain, visualized and make it), which he did for this Lamborghini! He built this on first day of Chinese New Year on 29 January 2025 when he is only 9 years old!

Old Memories are always Fonding

People are drawn to dividend investing.

Why? Firstly, dividends provide a regular stream of income, allowing investors to receive a portion of the company’s profits on a periodic basis. This can be particularly attractive for individuals seeking consistent cash flow or looking to supplement their existing income. Additionally, dividend investing is often viewed as a more stable and predictable investment strategy compared to relying solely on capital appreciation.

CAREYOURPRESENT

Money just buy you the chance of freedom.

When you are young and working, you exchange time for money. When you are old, you can have lots of money but you can’t buy time back, especially the things that you have missed while busying striking out in career. Of course, if you love your career, and consciously know that you are missing out the first time your child walk or talk, that’s ok, but if you are the other spectrum, please do something about it.

Your kids grew up and they no longer need you to accompany them. They no longer want to sit on your lap to share/do things with you…all these time you spent in your 9 to 6 or even longer cubicles…can the money that you have earned by you back these?

We always thought we have more time with our old parents, but we are wrong. Time with them is ticking away every day. One day it will suddenly be gone. There is no regret medicine, no reset in time. Gone is gone and cannot come back. No matter you are billionaires or millionaires, you cannot reset this.

We always thought that we have more time with our spouse every day, but we are wrong. One day they will be gone too. When you read this, please go tell your spouse that you love him/her and he or she is the best thing that you ever had in your life.

CareYourPresent: The Power of Being in the Now

Posted on January 22, 2025January 20, 2025 by careyourpresent

CareYourPresent: The Power of Being in the Now

In today’s fast-paced world filled with endless responsibilities, social media notifications, and perpetual multitasking, truly living in the moment often feels elusive. Yet, focusing on the present—the here and now—is fundamental to achieving peace of mind and a sense of fulfillment. CareYourPresent is more than a concept; it’s a guiding principle encouraging mindfulness and purposeful living.

REMIND YOURSELF on the followings!

Understanding the Present Moment

To live in the moment, or practice mindfulness, is to be fully engaged in your current experience without distractions or judgment. It involves:

  • Awareness: Observing your thoughts, emotions, and environment.
  • Acceptance: Embracing the present without resistance or attachment.
  • Participation: Fully immersing yourself in what you’re doing right now, rather than lingering on the past or worrying about the future.

This approach promotes numerous benefits, from reducing stress to enriching relationships and fostering a greater appreciation for life’s everyday beauty.

Why Focusing on the Now Matters

The present is the only time you truly have. The past exists as a memory, and the future is merely a possibility. By focusing on the present, you can:

  1. Support Mental Wellness: Mindfulness helps alleviate anxiety and depression by interrupting cycles of negative thought patterns.
  2. Build Stronger Connections: Being fully engaged with others enhances trust and understanding.
  3. Enhance Productivity: Concentrating on one task at a time leads to better efficiency and creativity.
  4. Cultivate Gratitude: Awareness of the present moment fosters an appreciation for what you have.

Practical Ways to CareYourPresent

Nurturing your connection to the present moment takes deliberate effort. Here are steps to make mindfulness part of your daily routine:

  1. Start the Day Mindfully: Begin your morning with a few deep breaths and a positive intention.
  2. Practice Gratitude: Reflect on what you’re thankful for, whether it’s a good meal, a kind gesture, or the sunrise.
  3. Minimize Distractions: Dedicate specific times to be free from technology and focus on meaningful activities.
  4. Engage Your Senses: Tune into what you see, hear, smell, taste, and feel to ground yourself in the moment.
  5. Focus on Your Breath: When overwhelmed, take a few slow breaths to recenter yourself.
  6. Reflect Each Evening: Spend a few minutes reviewing moments where you were present and consider ways to improve.

Navigating the Challenges

Living in the now isn’t always easy. Modern life often pulls attention in multiple directions. However, even small, consistent steps can make a big difference. When your mind wanders, gently guide it back to the present without frustration. Over time, this practice becomes more natural.

A Lasting Mindset

CareYourPresent is an invitation to experience life as it unfolds. By valuing the present, ordinary moments can transform into meaningful ones. As Lao Tzu wisely said, “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”

Take a moment now to pause, breathe, and ask yourself: How can I honor this very moment? The answer might surprise you.

Life is short

Posted on January 17, 2025January 17, 2025 by careyourpresent

My mum passed away in Jan 2023. Time really flies. It has been 2 years. Life is really short and recently I am busying with many things in life where I couldn’t really have time to stop and take check in life.

And suddenly I will be 42 years old soon. My kids were babies, felt like they were just borned, suddenly one is in Primary One another one in Primary Four.

Life really files. The days are long but the years are short. One idea suddenly struck me to estimate how much time I am left with assuming I am lucky using ChatGPT.

Less than 5 digits of days left IF I AM lucky.

I URGE reader to go count too then you will only realised how short life is.

CAREYOURPRESENT

live in the moment now. Be happy everyday.

  3. Children’s Education: Ensuring children receive a good education and have opportunities for the future.

  7. Future Uncertainties: Concerns about job security, economic stability, and global events.
  8. Relationship Strains: Maintaining a healthy relationship with a spouse and managing family dynamics.

Worrying Won’t Change the Outcome

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in worrying about the future.

Many of us think that by worrying, we can somehow stop bad things from happening. But honestly, that’s just not true.

Worrying doesn’t change outcomes; it only messes with your well-being. Let’s dive into why worrying is pointless and how you can shift your mindset to something more productive.

The Illusion of Control

Worrying often makes us feel like we have control. We think that by constantly stressing over potential problems, we can influence the outcome.

In reality, worrying is just mental noise that distracts us from taking meaningful action.

Remember, while we can control our actions and responses, we can’t control everything that happens around us.

The Cost of Worrying

Worrying takes a toll on both our mental and physical health. It can lead to anxiety, stress, and even physical symptoms like headaches and fatigue.

Over time, chronic worrying can weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to illnesses.

Instead of wasting energy on worry, it’s more beneficial to focus on self-care and stress management techniques.

Shifting Your Mindset

  • Focus on What You Can Control: Identify the aspects of a situation that you can influence and take proactive steps to address them. This empowers you and reduces feelings of helplessness.
  • Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness techniques, such as meditation and deep breathing, can help you stay present and reduce the tendency to worry about the future.
  • Set Aside Worry Time: Allocate a specific time each day to acknowledge your worries. This can prevent them from taking over your entire day and help you manage them more effectively.
  • Challenge Negative Thoughts: When you catch yourself worrying, ask yourself if the concern is realistic or if you’re blowing things out of proportion. Often, our worries are based on irrational fears rather than facts.

The Power of Positive Action

Instead of worrying, channel your energy into positive actions. Whether it’s planning, problem-solving, or simply taking care of yourself, these actions are far more productive. Remember, worrying won’t prevent things from happening, but taking action can help you navigate challenges more effectively.

Change your Mindset on worrying

Worrying is a natural response to uncertainty, but it’s important to recognize its limitations.

By shifting your focus from worry to action, you can improve your well-being and better handle whatever comes your way.

Remember, worrying won’t change the outcome, but your actions and mindset can make a significant difference.

Live in Present

As the Dalai Lama wisely observed:

“The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered ‘Man! Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.’”

This quote beautifully encapsulates why worrying is counterproductive. Let’s strive to live fully in the present, taking care of our health and well-being, and making the most of each moment.

Few Reflections

Posted on July 26, 2024July 26, 2024 by careyourpresent

I am 41 this year February 2024. If I am lucky, I would have already lived about half of my lifespan.

Time to take some time to reflect and remind myself.

  • There is no need to maximize your productivity for every single day, or second of time. Since young, we are taught live in this productivity maximizing society – must improve ourselves so that our market values are higher. Is there really a need do? Does it really matter truly to yourself or to your loved one? Or this actually cause unduly stress?
  • Time Freedom is more valuable than anything. Ultimately this is the ultimate currency.
  • Stop optimizing every single cents. There is no need to put every single cents of yours into every single high earning interest accounts if it caused you unduly stress.
  • There is a time limit of everything. Last time (about 1-2 years ago) I could run around and play with my kids every single day without feeling tiring. Nowadays I can’t, after a while tired and headache.
  • Leave the best time of your day to your best one, not the other way. At playground, I have seen many parents, including myself to try to spend our best energy and attention to play with our kids, but we can’t. We are tired, both physically and mentally after a day of working. We have spent the best time of each day to earn something call “fiat” that ultimately is created by human beings with higher powers and wealth.
  • The older I get, I realized that the less I need. When I was younger, I want a car, I nice condo, travel, nice gadgets. Nowadays, I want just a peaceful few hour to walk in the park with my family without any worrying about work or any other matters in life.
  • Most of the time, we are not present. Physically we can be there but our mind are not there. We are thinking of millions of things are this current moment of time except the current moment of time. We are taught since young to optimize our time.
  • I don’t know how to rest and relax anymore. These few days I was asking my wives, last time how do I spent my time during school holidays when I was younger not working? Nowaday, even taking some breaks, I felt guilty or not productive and not making full use of my time. I also felt sense of losses, too much time and don’t know what to do. I no longer know how TO DO NOTHING. I believe many others. Kids can do it, young time me can do it, but now I can’t. I am and many others I believe are too used to work work work weekdays and then rest only weekends, filling every single moment of your time with things to do. Kids don’t need to fill their time, they can find own things to do. They simply play with leaves they found on roadside.

Health is Your Most Valuable Asset – But human only regret after they lost it

Posted on May 8, 2024May 8, 2024 by careyourpresent

We always thought that we are invisible. Tomorrow will always come. But sadly to say, regardless of how powerful, how rich, how smart you are, you will fall sick and you will die one day.

THERE IS NO EXCEPTION TO THIS.

We…Forget

Many of us, including myself always forget that life is fragile, including myself.

I keep telling myself that I need to care your present (that’s why blog is titled this), but I always fall into the trap of worrying about future, regret about past and not living in the present.

It’s not easy to get out of this loop.

Regretfully, sometime we need some health scare to remind us.

And I have two scares recently.

IT was reminder and a wake up call.

(1) First Sickness

I was well in early April. Suddenly, my tooth become very painful. I thought that this is nothing until it’s so painful that it affected my daily life.

Hence, I went to see a dentist and discovered that I need ROOT CANAL.

For those who are not aware of what is Root Canal, let CHATGPT tell you.

A root canal is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the center of a tooth (the root canal system). It involves removing infected or damaged tissue from inside the tooth, cleaning and disinfecting the area, and then filling and sealing it to prevent further infection. This procedure helps save teeth that would otherwise need to be extracted due to severe decay or infection. While it has a reputation for being painful, advancements in dental techniques and anesthesia have made root canals much more comfortable for patients.

Here’s a detailed explanation of the full root canal procedure:

  1. Preparation: Before the procedure begins, the dentist will administer local anesthesia to numb the tooth and surrounding area. This ensures that the patient remains comfortable throughout the procedure.
  2. Access: Once the area is numb, the dentist will isolate the tooth using a rubber dam to keep it dry and free from saliva. This also helps to prevent contamination of the root canal during the procedure. Next, the dentist will create an opening in the crown of the tooth to access the pulp chamber and root canals.
  3. Cleaning and Shaping: Using small instruments called files, the dentist will carefully remove the infected or damaged pulp tissue from inside the tooth and clean the root canals. The dentist will use a series of files of increasing diameter to shape the canals, making it easier to disinfect and fill them later.
  4. Irrigation: Throughout the cleaning process, the dentist will flush the root canals with an antimicrobial solution to remove any remaining debris and kill bacteria.
  5. Filling: Once the canals are thoroughly cleaned and shaped, they are filled with a biocompatible material called gutta-percha. This material seals off the canals to prevent bacteria from re-entering and causing further infection. In some cases, a sealer is also used along with the gutta-percha to ensure a complete seal.
  6. Restoration: After the root canal is completed, the access opening in the crown of the tooth is filled with a temporary or permanent filling material. In some cases, a dental crown may be recommended to strengthen and protect the tooth, especially if a significant portion of its structure has been lost due to decay or the root canal procedure.
  7. Follow-Up: Following the root canal procedure, the patient may experience some discomfort or sensitivity, which can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain medication. The dentist will schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor the healing process and determine if any further treatment is needed.

Anyway, I spent about $2.5k with 4 visits. It’s suffering. Well health is important.
People never realized until they lose their teeth (my case).

(2) Sickness

While everyone is enjoying their Labour Day Holiday, I was enjoying myself in Accident & Emergency at hospital.

All of a sudden on that day morning, I have flashes in my eyes with lots of big floaters.

I had similar episode in another eye of mine 2017 and it was Retina Tear.

Hence, I went to the hospital, few hours of wait with money burnt – luckily there was no retina tear, just the jelly-like substance (vitreous) crystalized and didn’t pull off my retina.

But, this is my vision now. It’s difficult for me to even look at brighter things now (not bright thing).

Same but yet different.

Life is Short Treasure it

Life is short, treasure it.

I am lucky this time that it is not life threatening for my health scare.

But there are always someone somewhere out there suddenly has health issues, or worst still, drop death suddenly.

Many should have seen news on such cases. Of course, it could also be road accident etc.

What I want to say is

Don’t think your life as invincible and you will never die or fall sick.

No matter what, it may come one day and very suddenly.

Please live your life to the fullness, love your everyday and don’t regret any of your day. You never know when is your last day.

Few pictures that change my life.

Disclaimer (these pictures are not from me. Saw on X and on internet)

No one is immortal.

There is always a last time.

Last time your kids ask you to carry

Last time they climb on you.

I have picked out some of the more life reflecting articles of the CAREYOURPRESENT series. Do read them:
